Rise of the Planet of the Apes Movie Review

If you are familiar with the Planet of the Apes Series, Rise of the Planet of the Apes shows how the apes became smart and eventually took over the planet. The special effects in the movies were great and I was entertained from beginning to end. Caesar who was the leader of the apes and main character of the movie was intriguing. I can honestly say it was probably the best movie I’ve seen so far in 2011.

I give it 4.5 out of 5 stars.

Tyler Perry’s Madea’s Big Happy Family Movie Review

Tyler Perry is back with another Madea movie in his latest release Madea’s Big Happy Family. Nobody can touch on serious issues but make you laugh at th same time like Tyler Perry. Rapper Bow Wow starred in the movie as Byron who had the baby mama from hell! Tyler Perry has never been scared to touch on serious family issues in his movies and plays and Tyler Perry’s Madea’s Big Happy Family is no exception.

I give it 3.5 out of 5 stars

African Cats Movie Review

African Cats had a surprisingly good storyline following the plight of both a family of cheetahs as well as a pride of lions. The action scenes as well as the camera angles were quite impressive as well. I thought the movie was good overall, but not sure if it is worth the price of admission. You could see similar stuff on the Discovery channel so this movie might be better suited to watch on DVD in this tough economy.

Unstoppable Movie Review

Unstoppable turned out to be a better movie than I thought it would. When I saw the previews, I thought to myself how good can a movie about a runaway train possibly be even with Academy Award winner Denzel Washington in it. The movie was surprisingly goo however, and had enough good acting and sub plots to carry it through.

Saw 3D: The Final Chapter Movie Review

I thought that this was the best Saw movie since the first two. It also had one of the better endings out of the SAW series. I felt the 3D effects made the gore scene a little more upfront and personal.

If you are a SAW fan then I definitely recommend going to see it in theaters. People in the theatre actually clapped after the ending when I went to go see it.

I give it 4 out of 5 stars.

Secretariat Movie Review

The movie is about the greatest race horse that ever lived. The movie shows the journey of the horse Secretariat and his owner as they attempt to win the Triple Crown in 1973.

It was a very good heart warming family movie for all ages.

Resident Evil: Afterlife 3D Movie Review

I found this movie to be much better than I thought it would be. It very entertaining throughout and had some great action sequences. I thought it was even better the the previous one.

Milla Jovovich was awesome in her recurring role as Alice. A few of the action sequences copied off of the Matrix however near the end of the movie, but overall it was great.

I give it 4 out of 5 stars.

Shrek Forever After 3D Review

I must admit that this movie was a lot better than I thought it would be. I didn’t think that I would find another Shrek movie entertaining, but I was wrong. Eddie Murphy gives another hilarious performance as the donkey and the story had a plot that kept me interested. Both adults and kids will enjoy this movie.

Iron Man 2 Review

Iron Man 2 picks up where Iron Man left off and does not disappoint. Robert Downey Jr. does a great job once again as our super hero and Mickey Rourke plays an excellent villain. I wouldn’t go so far as to say it was better than the first but it was pretty good for a sequel.
